Juliet was a bay Thoroughbred mare foaled in 1972. She came to Flying Changes Center in 1994 as a donation by the Woodward/Watson family of Brunswick.
After becoming a therapeutic riding horse, she was one of the first horses to help launch the Maine Special Olympics. In 1999, at the ripe old age of 27, she retired from the riding program at Flying Changes and lived out her days here at the farm.
Juliet lived much longer than the average lifespan of a horse, which is 20 to 30 years, and will be missed.

Abby
I am a bay Morab (Morgan/Arabian) pony mare, and my birthday is 5-10-83. My registered Morab name is Zippy Genie. I came to Flying Changes Center in 2000. I’ve taught hundreds of students to ride over the years, and I especially love teaching beginners. I can walk, trot, canter, and jump.

Rembrandt (Remi)
I am a grey Percheron cross gelding, and I was born in 1985. On February 15, 2007, my owner Sue Pratt donated me to Flying Changes to become part of the herd here. Sue and I spent 17 years doing dressage, driving, and a little jumping, and thanks to her efforts, I’m a great schoolmaster for all levels of students at Flying Changes. Before Sue bought me at age 5, I drove a wagon across the country (over the course of three years) to help my previous owner raise money for the American Cancer Society. Hana Poulin, one of Flying Changes’ volunteers, remembers me from those days when I was young and learning to drive at her dad, Larry Poulin’s farm (my name was “Scout” then).
